Board of Directors
The Village at Nags Head is governed by a seven-member Board of Directors elected by the general membership. Board Members serve three-year terms and are elected at the Annual Meeting. Terms are staggered so that no more than three members are elected in a given year. The Board holds regular quarterly meetings and special meetings are called as needed. Meetings are open and members are welcomed to attend. Please call the Property Manager if you plan to attend a meeting to confirm the date and time and to be placed on the agenda if you wish to address the Board. Architectural Control Committee
The Architectural Control Committee is made up of seven owners and a representative from the Town of Nags Head. Committee Members are appointed by the Board of Directors. The Village at Nags Head Architectural Control Committee is charged with the enforcement of the restrictive covenants and development standards within the The Village. Copies of these documents are available in the “Documents” section of this site. Any new construction, changes or additions to the exterior of existing structures, exterior painting, addition of exterior amenities, or modifications to the driveway or parking areas require the approval of this committee. Applications for painting, construction, and remodeling are available at the links below. These applications may be submitted for approval through the Property Manager. Landscape Committee The Landscape Committee’s goals are to preserve the natural beauty of The Village’s common areas, provide improved recreational facilities, and identify areas that need additional landscaping through the implementation of a coordinated long range landscape plan. The Committee works with the Property Manager on the development of landscape specifications for maintenance and improvements to the common areas, implementation of the bidding and contract process, and oversight of the landscape contractor. The Committee Members are appointed by the Board of Directors. Owners interested in serving on this Committee should contact the Property Manager.
Finance Committee The primary functions of the Finance Committee are the development and oversight of the Annual Budget and long range financial planning for the Association. The Treasurer receives monthly financial statements from the Property Manager and a professional audit is performed at year end by a Certified Public Accountant. Any owner wishing to review a copy of the audit or current financial statements may do so by contacting the Property Manager.

Property Manager The Village at Nags Head contracts with Village Realty and Management Services to conduct the day-to-day business of the Association. Village Realty provides a broad range of administrative services including the preparation and maintenance of Association records, minutes and correspondence, coordination and notices for meetings, production of the newsletter, oversight and administration of the web site, collection of dues, payment of invoices, development and management of an annual budget, and coordination of insurance coverage. In the area of facilities management Village Realty conducts regular tours of the property, and supervises the work of all contractors and maintenance personnel. Additionally, the Property Manager acts as the point of contact for all owners regarding association matters, processes Architectural Control Applications, is the liaison for the Association’s attorney, attends all Board and Committee meetings, and monitors local governmental affairs to ensure that the Board is aware of pending matters which could affect The Village.
